Frequently Asked Questions

What do I bring to my appointment? 

There is no requirement to bring anything. However, some things that will help your clinician include: a list of your medications, imaging or specialist reports or anything else relating to your reason for visit

What do I wear to my appointment?

Please wear comfortable clothing that you can move around in freely. During the first session we complete a structural and movement assessment but generally nothing to exhausting. It is ideal if you can wear the shoes you plan to exercise in.

Do I need a referral?

No, a referral is not required. However, if you wish to claim through Medicare, a referral is required.

Can Exercise Physiology be claimed through private health?

Yes, it can be. However, you will need to contact your private health insurer to ensure you have extras cover for Exercise Physiology sessions.

Can Exercise Physiology sessions be claimed through Medicare?

Yes, to claim through Medicare you need a current Chronic Disease Management Plan with a current referral to Exercise Physiology (a referral older then 12 months is not valid). Medicare currently pays $56.00 for your session so a gap fee will be charged. The gap fee will depend on the time of the appointment you choose, see costs and services tab for more information.

 

Can you see NDIS patients?

Enhance Function is not currently taking NDIS referrals, however, if you are interested in seeing us through NDIS please enquire.
